The novena of St. Teresa of Avila
will be October 6-14. Mass in her honor will be celebrated on October
15th at 9:00 a.m. by Most Reverend Joseph A. Fiorenza.
This year we are also celebrating the centenary of the
death of Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity. By the time Elizabeth of
the Trinity had entered the Carmelite community in Dijon, France in 1901,
she had already read St. Therese's Story of a Soul and was devoted
to her Little Way. At an early Elizabeth of the Trinity
appreciated the indwelling of the Trinity in her soul from baptism and
her life was an on-going living and deepening of this grace. She
lived with God dwelling within her soul as her beloved
"Three." She wanted everyone to know the Indwelling of the
Presence of the Trinity that abides in each person baptized in
Christ. We will honor her by having a special solemn Mass on
November 7 at 6:30 p.m. by Most Reverend Daniel N. DiNardo.
"Therese of Lisieux and Elizabeth of the
Trinity understood that the act of total surrender to the triune God as
the highest possible form of engagement on behalf of the world's
salvation." Hans Urs von Balthasar.
We
welcome young women who are discerning and/or desiring to deepen their
prayer life to visit and pray with us.
